Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Parallel Pages AI mobile application ("App") provided by WordCraft Apps Inc. ("Company," "we," or "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the App.

1. Eligibility and Age Restriction

The App is intended for users aged 13 and above. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old. If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you must have the consent of your parent or legal guardian to use the App.

2. App Features and Services

Parallel Pages AI is an app that allows users to create AI-generated stories and characters. The main features of the App include:

Create your own characters with avatar images
Create a story by selecting genre, location, and the characters in the story
Choose the direction of the story as it progresses and write your own prompts for the next pages

3. In-App Purchases

The App offers in-app purchases, specifically "energy," which is used to generate character images and story pages. The purchase of energy is optional and not required to use the basic features of the App.

4. User Accounts and Data Collection

Users have an anonymous account created by default. Users can choose to register via an authentication provider (managed by Google Firebase) to unlock additional features. By registering, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, including your email address.

We collect certain user data, including device information for analytics, usage statistics, and email addresses when users register. This data is used to improve the App and provide a better user experience.

5. User-Generated Content

User-generated content, such as characters and stories, is stored in a database hosted with Google Cloud Platform. By creating and sharing content within the App, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the content in connection with the App and our business.

6. Intellectual Property and Licensing

All content generated within the App is created using Open AI large language models and GPTs. The generated content is not copyrighted. The rights, licensing, and ownership of generated content align with the most recent laws in the user's jurisdiction regarding the rights, licensing, and ownership of content created by generative AI.

7. Prohibited Activities

When using the App, you agree not to:

Attempt to exploit the underlying AI systems
Engage in malicious use of any generated content, including using generated images to pretend you are someone you are not, attempting to recreate a real person with the intent to deceive somebody, attempting to recreate a real person with the intent of defamation, attempting to recreate a real person without that person's consent, or any other act that may be perceived as malicious
Attempt to generate any content that qualifies as hate, threatening, harassment, self-harm, sexual, exploitation of minors/children, or any inappropriate depiction of minors/children

Engaging in prohibited activities may result in the termination of your account and, if necessary, legal action.

8. Feedback, Disputes, and Issues

If you have any questions, feedback, disputes, or issues related to the App, please contact us through the provided channels within the App. We will review all feedback and take appropriate action if needed.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

WordCraft Apps is not responsible for any content generated within the App. All AI generation is done using OpenAI's APIs. If a generated image resembles a real person or real piece of art, it is by coincidence and unintended. If this occurs, we encourage users to notify us so that we can take appropriate action. We will investigate all generations of the reporting user to determine the violation. Action we may take involves contacting OpenAI to notify them of the possible copyright infringement. Review and action will occur within 1 year of the initial report.

The App is provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or quality of the AI-generated content. In no event shall WordCraft Apps be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.

10. Updates to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated through the App's interface and, if possible, through email. Your continued use of the App after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

By using Parallel Pages AI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
